The Government of Alberta has updated the list of symptoms for Albertans under 18, and high school students who are over 18 (see pages 1-2). All other Albertans who are 18 and over, including school staff, will continue to use the original Alberta Health daily checklist (see page 3).
The key change for students is:
Symptoms of runny nose and sore throat have been removed from the mandatory isolation checklist, effective November 2.
Removing "runny nose" and "sore throat" from the symptoms checklist brings Alberta in line with changes made in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec.
The Government of Alberta School Re-entry website provides the following information on what to do if a student shows symptoms.

Use the AHS Online Assessment Tool or call Health Link 811 to arrange for testing and to receive info on isolation.
