Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) extends a warm welcome to new and returning families as students and staff return to the classroom.
Online Registration
Online registration for the new school year is ongoing! Parents/guardians of students who are new to PWPSD, or new to the school in which they are registering, should visit www.pwpsd.ca/registration to complete the process. For those who do not have internet access or require assistance filling out the form, please visit the school in your attendance area.
Parents/guardians of students returning to the school they attended in June, or transferring from a PWPSD feeder school, should complete the Returning Student Update Form once they receive an access code from their school on September 2.
2022-2023 School Year Calendar
The PWPSD school year calendar is available on our website under Parent Resources https://bit.ly/3pTv4DY. Families should visit their school’s website to access school-specific calendars and remember to align upcoming family vacation plans with school holidays.
Busing Information
School zones are now in effect on school days. Drivers are reminded to exercise caution, adhere to posted speed limits, and remember that it is illegal to pass a school bus when red lights are flashing.
For those families accessing transportation services from PWPSD, please provide current daytime telephone numbers to the PWPSD Transportation Office by calling (780) 532-7734. Students should plan to arrive at their bus stop five minutes early. Families are also encouraged to download our Bus Status app from the App Store or Google Play to receive timely notifications of late or cancelled buses right to their phones. Bus statuses can also be found at www.transportation.pwpsd.ca. Notifications of partial or division-wide cancellations will be shared via all available communication channels including websites, the Bus Status app, and PWPSD’s social media outlets – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
